Call me nerd or whatever you want, but I love the brands that have a long experience coming from the past, their own ‘philosophy of life’ and a reason to exist. Why choosing a brand with no personality (or that simply can’t communicate it) when you can have something more concrete and positive to be told?
Citizens of Humanity can be considered among those interesting brands: created in 2003 by Jerome Dahan, Citizens of Humanity is not only a brand, but a way of being, perfectly expressed by the three evocative words that shape a community of like-minded people around the same cultural values: creativity, inspiration, passion and humanitarian vision.
Last Thursday I had the pleasure and the honour to be one of the bloggers invited to the brand presentation in Milan: Corrado Masini, President of International, explained us the vision and the mission of the company. Through the Citizenship and Just Like You projects, Citizens of Humanity wants to be an active supporter of arts and young talents as well as humanitarian causes. Fashion is a way to communicate important messages and values, not only (and not simply) a way to express our exteriority.
Here you have some pictures of the next Spring/Summer 2013 collection: the denim is really soft and the vintage washing style gives to all the pieces a magic allure, perfect for a woman who lives her life easily and consciously.
Sorbet coloured hues of lavender and sunny island set the mood for the season, while vintage washes of indigo, pastel colours, soft florals and harvest wheat prints are reminiscent of fields blowing in the summer breeze.
I really loved these jeans below: they were perfect for me and more than comfortable.
