Yarn and wood are very different from each other. One is smooth and soft and the other seems to be rigid and not flexible. But what does it happen when you decide to use wood to represent yarn?
Not a disaster I would say watching the artwork made by Michelle Holzapfel, an American artist who uses the materials, tools and techniques of woodworking to render images from daily life: textiles, plants, animals and human forms.
Other works made by Michelle can be found on her website here.
