If I were a fashion student I would be happy for the great amount of contests and challenges addressed to me. I’m not, but I’m happy anyway :).
If you are reading this post you are probably among the students taking part to ‘Feel the Yarn’ and we probably met Monday in Prato. If so, I would like to thank you again for the great job I’m sure you are going to do. I think that being conscious that this is a great opportunity to train your talent is more important than winning the contest itself.
Learning by doing is the most important way to achieve knowledge: ‘doing something’ makes you learn how to relate with other people and how to face and solve problems. It shows you that ‘obstacles are not mountains’ that you will never climb, but simply trials that your professional life will always put you through: dealing with them is the first real important step of your career.
