Fashion Semiology

Yesterday night I finished to read ‘Fashion Semiology’, a book written by Fausto Crepaldi and Cinzia Ligas and published by Istituto Marangoni and Il Sole 24 Ore.


I found this book both useful and interesting: a virtual journey through the fashion communication, explaining how to use and understand the secret language of luxury objects and of fashion clothing or accessories.

Fashion language is made of forms, symbols, icons, codes and colours: all of them have specific effects on the attitude and the purchasing desire of people.

The book also explains how the communication has changed using the web 2.0 tools using some successful case studies.
