2 students per school, for a total of 13 schools and 22 between mills and companies enrolled: these are the numbers, for now, of the 2016 contest branded Feel the Yarn, that heated up the motors few weeks ago towards the finish line on the next June 29th, Pitti Filati.
Here under, for the record and to give the right space to both the merging designers ad to the companies that every year believe and invest on tho project, you will find the list of the names and their related assignments:
They come from Accademia Costume e Moda in Rome, Federica Melpegnano and Heida Oskardottir, respectively assigned to FilItaly and GI.TI.BI. Filati.
Peng Wond and Wang Yangjun come, instead, from Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and they will work with Manifatture Sesia and Toscano Filati.
Olivo will be the tutor mill of Nai-Chi Lu from Bunka Fashion College and of Shelby McNeil, student of Kingston University.
To Pinori has been assigned 2 students both from Limerick Institute, Siobhan O’Dea and Anna Bialek.
The honor of following the students of Lahti University goes to CELC, while Filpucci will take care of the second student of the Kingston University, Bethan Jones.
Martha Papalla and Adriane Lila Fecke, young designers from Hochschule Trier have been assigned to Ilaria and Filmar respectively.
Cariaggi has supplied its products, instead, to Urara Honda from Bunka Fashion College and DI.VE’ to Muriel Gregoring from Hochschule Luzern. The other Swiss student, Tamara Ansò Romeo will be followed by E. Miroglio.
Sophia Wiskott and Marle Vick, both from Hochschule Niederrhein, have been put side by side to Igea and Botto Giuseppe.
From Polimoda in Florence are Giulia Faracena and Yan Wen, who will collaborate with BE.MI.VA. and Pecci Filati.
Alpes and Tollegno will work with the students from Politecnico of Milan, while Biagioli and Industria Italiana Filati with those from Royal College of Art.
At the end, Lion Tsz Ki Sze and Ying Ying Chu from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University were respectively appointed to Zegna Baruffa and Linsieme Filati.
