In moments of instability and tension such as those we have been experiencing for some years now, the desire emerges to re-establish calmer and more relaxing situations, if not downright pleasant and fun. In the world of textiles and fashion we are witnessing contrasting trends. On the one hand, attention to fashion based on quality, durability, productive sustainability and creativity without seasonal limits, on the other a liberating creativity, expression of joy of living, carefreeness, in search of physical and mental well-being, a prelude to happiness.
From these premises emerges an aesthetic plurality made up of hybrid proposals, materials and styles with a sporty, layered and casual appeal, mixing elements of leisure clothing, streetwear and garments designed for outdoor recreational activities, but wear in the city. Styles in step with the times, which adapt not only to the wearer but also to different occasions of use and different personalities.
Transversal collections in which knitwear has found ample space for expression, taking inspiration from softer sports such as tennis, golf, but also pilates and yoga, where a minimal design is required, a fitting that is neither too tight nor too loose for polo shirts, cardigans, vests and pullovers, together with great comfort and functionality.
At the base of everything are the yarns specifically designed to meet these needs, always with extreme attention to quality, durability, sustainability and obviously an eye-catching aesthetic. Also very important are the softness of the touch and the warm and pleasant lightness to wear.
To ensure a pleasant constant temperature for the body, the anti-shrink Extrafine Merino wool combines with graphene, which, incorporated into the yarns, allows the creation of antibacterial, anti-odour, antistatic materials, resistant to wear and washing and to guarantee perfect thermoregulation.
Among the most interesting performances are the Total Easy Care pure wool yarns, which thanks to a process that covers the fibers with a silicone membrane, eliminates the scales, the main cause of felting, thus obtaining a soft surface. Garments made with these yarns are also easy to care for, machine washable and tumble dryable.
Warmth and protection combine with lightness in yarns of current conception, airy, voluminous, brushed with a slightly hairy surface, with all the quality and performance characteristics already mentioned.
In the search for increasingly sustainable blends for yarns with a clean appearance and very clear stitches, cotton and recycled synthetic fibers intervene
The reference to Shetland is highlighted in the carded but ultra-light aspects and the very soft touch of the airspun wools.
