GOTS has having more and more relevance as far as consumers are demanding for more organic fibers in textiles product and industry needs a controlled supply chain to produce organic goods.
In order to provide consumers with trustable information, GOTS guarantees the organic nature of textiles from the harvesting of the raw materials through the whole production chain. The standard is about the manufacturing, packaging, labelling, and distribution of all textiles made from at least 70 percent organic natural fibres.
